Second Annual EU Film Festival in China
Following the great success of the first Annual EU Film Festival in China, held in Beijing in December 2008, the 2nd Annual EU Film Festival in China will take place from November 5th to December 4th, 2009. This year the film festival is expanding and will be held in two cities: Beijing and Chengdu.During the film festival, which is financed by the Delegation of the European Commission to China and supported by the Swedish Presidency, 26 films will be shown. Every EU-member state was invited to showcase one recent, popular and successful film. The result is a diverse program that enables the Chinese general public to discover new faces of European cinema.
All the films will be screened in their original language with English and Chinese subtitles. The entrance is free of charge. Below you can find the full program for screenings in Beijing and a brief introduction to each film. The program for Chengdu is still to be confirmed.
